To get back into the swing of Spring, read a message from a teacher and teaching artist at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School.

Priya Tahiliani, Creative Writing Teacher

This is my second year working with the Education Department at Citi Performing Arts Center. After a successful six-week long program last year, I was thrilled to find out that through EdVestors the program would be returning to my Creative Writing class this year and that they would be spending the entire year with us! Carol and Magalie, the guest Teaching Artists who work with my students, are engaging, enthusiastic, and very capable of working with high schoolers. They manage to bring out the best in my students, drawing out wonderful skills and splendid creativity from even my most shy teenagers. The students emerge from this program with the confidence to focus their creativity into writing and performance.

Magalie Neff, Teaching Artist for the EdVestors Residency @Madison Park Technical Vocational High School

I'm really excited with the work that we're doing over at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School in Roxbury. The students have been so open with sharing their stories. We are making great progress in terms of script development. We're even ready for a mid-program showing. I think people will be touched by the recurring themes that continue to come up for the students. Their peers will clearly be able to relate to the stories. We have great, creative writers among us. Time to bring their words to life.
