  • Applications for the 2016-2017 Teen Leadership Council are now closed.

    Who can participate in Teen Council?
    Teen Leaders must be at least age 15 by the start of the program and cannot turn age 19 by the end of the program. All applicants are required to live in the city of Boston in order to participate.

    When does Teen Council start and end?
    Teen Leadership Council begins in late November/early December and concludes in late April/early May.

    Where does Teen Council meet?
    Teen Council meets three times a week from 4:00 - 6:30 pm at the Boch Center. Rehearsals are mandatory. Teen Council will also participate in or plan events on some weekday evenings or weekends.

    What does Teen Council do?
    Teens will create original performance pieces, facilitate workshops, promote social change through advocacy, and volunteer in the community. They will have the opportunity to work with children, local organizations, and creative professionals to celebrate and strengthen their neighborhoods through the arts.

    Is Teen Council a paid opportunity?
    Teen Leaders will be paid minimum wage for up to 10 hours per week.
