2016 Guest Poetry/Spoken Word Teaching Artist
Anjali Rodrigues is a writer, educator, and artist originally from Shelton, CT. She is a recent graduate of the Arts in Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. At Harvard, Anjali was an Artist-in-Residence at Project Zero and worked at the Urbano Project in Jamaica Plain. In her work at Urbano, Anjali led a group of teens in a project that explored questions of identity and community through photojournalism. Prior to graduate school, Anjali taught fifth and ninth grade in Richmond, California. In all of her classrooms, Anjali seeks to empower youth voices through poetry, photography, and celebration of young people and their communities.
