What about purchasing tickets on the day of a show?
Box Offices at the Wang and Shubert Theatres open two (2) hours prior to a scheduled performance.
How can I purchase tickets for a performance on a Sunday if the Box Office is only open Tuesday - Saturday, 12 Noon to 6 PM?
The Box Office opens 2 hours prior to each performance. Tickets are also available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week online or by telephone.
Can tickets be ordered over the telephone with a credit card and then pay for them with cash at the Box Office?
No. If tickets are purchased by telephone, it will be billed directly to the customer's credit card account used.
How can I purchase tickets and have someone else pick them up?
Ticket distribution/pick-up may vary from show to show. Some shows may require that tickets be picked-up at the entry to the Theatre by the person who originally purchased the tickets. Otherwise, when purchasing tickets over the telephone, give the operator the specific name of the person who will be picking up the tickets at the Box Office. The tickets will then be left at the Box Office under that name. All guests will be asked to show an ID when picking up tickets at will call.
How can I replace my lost or stolen tickets?
Tickets purchased with a credit card or check can easily be replaced by going back to the point of purchase. If tickets were purchased via telephone, call our Customer Service. If purchased through Group Sales, please call our Group Sales Department at 617.532.1116, or if purchased at the Box Office you will need to revisit the Box Office. Please try to have the exact seat locations if you only lost a portion of the tickets. Tickets purchased with cash cannot be replaced or re-issued.
Can I purchase tickets over the telephone with the Box Office?
No. The Box Office does not sell tickets over the telephone. You can purchase your tickets at the Box Office in person only, Tuesday - Saturday, 12 Noon to 6 PM.
How can I receive a refund or exchange on my tickets?
There are no refunds on ticket purchases.

How can I find out when tickets will go on sale for a particular show?
This site has the most up-to-date show listings . All ticket sales are usually announced thorough the mainstream media and through local radio and television stations.
What type of payment is accepted at the Box Office, online and/or on the telephone?
The Box Office accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, cash and checks (ten business days prior to the performance date being purchased). By telephone and online, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club are accepted (regular service and handling fees apply).
Where and when can I pick up my tickets from Will Call?
Will Call tickets are typically available at the Box Office one hour prior to curtain time. Please have your confirmation number or the credit card used for the purchase and identification ready. Please note that some shows will have Forced Will Call where tickets will be held at the box office for day of show pick-up only and will require immediate entry into the theatre with no re-admittance. How do I purchase group tickets?
To purchase group tickets (typically 10-20+ depending on show), call our Group Sales Department at 617.532.1116. They will be happy to assist you in purchasing tickets for your group.
What is your policy on tickets sold through unauthorized brokers?
Boch Center does not support the unauthorized reselling of tickets at a price above printed face value. The state of Massachusetts bars the resale of tickets above face value. If you have purchased tickets from an unauthorized ticket dealer and arrive at the theatre unknowingly with a fraudulent ticket, or you arrive at your seat to find someone has been sold the exact same seat, Boch Center cannot honor, refund or exchange those tickets. What is your security policy?
The Boch Center is committed to providing a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for our guests, staff, and performers during all performances and events held at the Wang and Shubert Theatres. For everyone’s safety, all guests entering the Wang or Shubert Theatre will be scanned with handheld and/or walk through metal detectors and have their belongings searched. The Boch Center reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items and/or those that are in breach of building policies or those that pose danger or disruption to the performance or other guests. A list of prohibited items can be found here. Any guest who declines to be screened by these methods may be denied entry or ejected from our Theatres. Anyone in need of assistance during an event should inform one of the Center’s staff members who will provide the appropriate assistance.
Are food and beverage services available and allowed into the Theatre?
Yes, concession stations are available in the lobby areas of the Theatres. Food and beverages are allowed into the Theatres depending on the type of show.
What is the appropriate dress for attending the Theatre?
There is no specific dress code for attending shows at our Theatres. Guests should wear what is appropriate for the show they are attending.
Do the Wang and Shubert Theatres each have an elevator?
The Wang Theatre is equipped with an elevator available in the Grand Lobby with accessibility to the fourth floor and has a chair lift installed for access to the Lower Lobby. The Shubert Theatre does not have an elevator; however, an accessible unisex bathroom is located off the Main Lobby.

Is photography and/or recording devices allowed?
As a general rule and for theatrical events, for the safety of the cast members, stage crew and the enjoyment of other guests, absolutely no photography or recording devices or any kind are permitted – this policy is strictly enforced. However, for some concerts, the Artist may make exception to non flash photography, please check for specific shows.
Is standing allowed?
For theatrical events and performances standing is not allowed – this policy is strictly enforced. For concerts, depending on the nature of the performance there may be occasions when guests are standing.
How long are most performances?

Can show merchandise be purchased?
Yes, most shows have show merchandise available for sale prior to and at the conclusion of each performance.
What is your child policy?
All guests regardless of age must have a ticket to enter the theatre. Most shows are appropriate for children 4 and up. Please check the show page for age appropriate content.
What does the Facility Fee support?

Are program books available?
For most theatrical performances a Playbill is distributed to each patron free of charge. Concerts do not traditional have program books. Show program books are often sold for a minimal fee.

Where is the Orchestra Pit?
The Orchestra Pit is located directly in front of the stage on the first level in all Theatres.
Where is the Orchestra?
The Orchestra is the entire first floor level after the Orchestra Pit in all Theatres.
Where are the Boxes?
Boxes in the Wang Theatre are located on the first level at the rear of the Orchestra section. Boxes at the Shubert Theatre are accessed via the Orchestra up a flight of stairs.
Where is the Dress Circle (Loge) in the Wang Theatre?
The Dress Circle (Loge) includes box seats located on the second level in the rear and on the left, and right sides above the Orchestra. Dress Circle seats are generally not sold and reserved exclusively for Boch Center Members.
Where is the Mezzanine?
The Mezzanine is the third level above the Orchestra in the Wang Theatre. The Mezzanine includes the second level above the Orchestra at the Shubert Theatres.
Where is the Balcony?
The Balcony is the fourth level behind the Mezzanine in the Wang Theatre. In the Shubert Theatres the Balcony is the third level above the Mezzanine.
Do you sell accessible seating? Where are they located?
The Wang and Shubert Theatres offer accessible seating. Accessible seating is available at a variety of prices throughout the Theatres. In the Wang Theatre accessible seating is in certain areas of the Orchestra Floor, and Orchestra Boxes. In the Shubert Theatre accessible seating is in certain areas of the Orchestra.
How can I purchase accessible seating tickets to performances?
Boch Center offers accessible and companion seating in a variety of prices and locations throughout the Theatres. How does Boch Center pay for disability access programs and facility upgrades?
Each year, a portion of Boch Center's operating budget is allocated for Community Service Expenditure, which includes direct cash grants, performance underwriting and discounted Rental fees for local nonprofit resident companies. We also include Access Programming, which includes ASL-interpreted and audio-described public performances for individuals who are deaf, blind or have communication disorders, and facility improvements which maintain physical access to the Center. Additional funding for Access Programming has been provided in the past by VSA Arts Massachusetts, the Bay State Council of the Blind, and various private foundations.
