(Boston) The Boch Center has announced that it will provide FREE rapid COVID-19 testing at all family holiday shows at the Wang and Shubert Theatres for children 12 years and younger. This year’s holiday shows include The Elf on the Shelf on November 26th at the Wang Theatre, A Christmas Story: The Musical from December 7th through the 19th at the Wang Theatre, Cirque Dreams Holidaze at the Shubert Theatre from December 10th through the 12th, and finally Urban Nutcracker at the Shubert Theatre from December 18th through the 26th.
Testing will take place in the Wang Theatre reception area located directly to the right of the main theatre entrance. Testing will begin when the doors open for each show. Results are generally available with 15 minutes of testing. All patrons attending these performances will need to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of the show. Rapid tests for anyone older than 12 will be available on site for $30. At home COVID tests will not be accepted.
“We know that seeing these incredible shows is part of the magic of the holidays for many families,” said Joe Spaulding, President and CEO of the Boch Center. “We hope that on-site rapid tests will allow this tradition to continue in a safe, affordable and convenient way.”
At this time, masks are required for all guests as per the City of Boston mandate. The Boch Center will continue to monitor state and local health guidelines and will adjust the mask policy if the current guidelines change.
